Master of Public Health Student Association (MaPHSA)

MaPHSA promotes awareness of career and academic issues related to the field of public health by serving as a voice to the faculty and administration. Throughout the academic year, MaPHSA sponsors and participates in networking activities by hosting social and educational events, encouraging interaction between students, faculty, and the administration to foster the sharing of ideas and concerns on ways to improve the program and graduate student life at the USC.

MaPHSA is dedicated to providing support to all MPH students at the USC academically, professionally, and socially. The MPH students at the USC strive to improve the surrounding community on issues related to public health and human service through MaPHSA sponsored community service events. It is through the development of partnerships, research and service that MaPHSA can improve the health and well being of the USC and its surrounding community.

The Master of Public Health Student Association (MaPHSA) was created in 2000 to represent students in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the University of Southern California (USC). In 2002, the MaPHSA constitution was created, identifying the purpose of the organization and its structure.
